Who we are:

The PV Trojan Cheerleaders!

Welcome to the world of PVHS Trojan Cheer! We’re not just a team; we’re a family of spirit, passion, and sparkles! Picture us flipping through the air, radiating joy, and cheering on our classmates like there’s no tomorrow. Whether we’re twirling in excitement or assembling for a photo shoot, our bond shines brighter than our pom-poms!

Our journey started with a love for cheer that’s just as infectious as our smiles. Here, we celebrate our victories, embrace our quirks, and cheer for one another louder than anyone else. So, grab a seat, enjoy the ride, and remember: every leap, every chant, and every friendship is what makes our story truly unique!

meet our coaches!

Coach Jenna

(Varsity Head Coach)

Coach Jenna is a dedicated athlete and leader with a deep passion for cheer. She started as a gymnast at four, reached Level 7, and later transitioned to All-Star cheer. She competed throughout her school years and was captain of both her varsity cheer and track teams.

Today, she’s the head coach of PVHS Cheer, a professional recruiter, and a proud pet mom to her German Shepherd, Nala, and black cat, Kitty. She’s also getting married in October 2025!

Her goal for PVHS Cheer goes beyond stunts—it’s about confidence, teamwork, and building a strong community. She wants the squad to be a powerhouse of school spirit and excellence, leaving a lasting impression whenever they perform.

Alex started as a competitive gymnast at two years old, reaching Level 9 before a knee injury led you to cheerleading. In high school, Alex balanced cheer, gymnastics, and pole vault, becoming cheer captain in your senior year.

Alex cheered for four years at Eastern Washington University, captaining for two, and competed in major championships. While in college, Alex also coached at two high schools, discovering your passion for mentoring athletes.

Now, as PVHS Cheer’s coach, Alex aims to build a team known for skill, positivity, and school spirit. Alex works in sales at Insight Global, have two rescue dogs, Milo and Koda, and is planning her wedding in February 2026. Alex is ready to make this season unforgettable—Go Trojans!

(varsity Head Coach)

My name is Alyssa Baumunk, and I am so excited to be welcomed back to PVHS! I was on the Spiritline my sophomore and senior year and graduated in 2006. I came back as a coach for the 2010 football season.

I was a nanny for ten years for three amazing kids- who are now fully grown- while I worked on getting my Bachelors in Communications and Digital Media from GCU. In 2014, I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Early Childhood Education from ASU. The three kids I nannied for are the reason I decided to become a teacher!

I am in my 9th year of teaching third grade at Quail Run Elementary School and am the proud mom of my Golden Retriever Chase (he was named after Chase Field, I am a huge Arizona Dbacks fan!

In my spare time, I enjoy going to baseball games, crafting, and binge-watching Friends. I am looking forward to being your assistant coach for the 2025-2026 school year! I will bring my school spirit along with my passion for dance and cheer to help make this a fun and memorable cheer season for everyone!
